It seems that in the world of music, the unconventional can often become the conventional and even become the standard. For, Pop powerhouse Lady GaGa and Brit soul diva Adele are once again making life very difficult for their contemporaries all over the globe.
Find out why below…
Last week That Grape Juice reported that GaGa sat at the top of the World Chart closely followed by Adele. This week both ladies have held their titles as the Queens of the music world by being the only two Pop artists to have their albums chart in the top 2 in more than seven countries.
The Rolling In The Deep singer’s LP ‘21‘ is #2 in the World Chart, USA, Norway , Brazil, Australia and the UK. It is #3 in Germany and France, and sits proudly at #1 in Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland.
Meanwhile, Ms. Germanotta’s ‘Born This Way‘ is once again the highest selling record in the World this week, as well as #1 in Canada, the US, France and the Czech Republic.
Though feats of this magnitude are to be expected from artists as gifted as these two, the commercial achievements remain awe inspiring.
For whilst ‘singers’ who fit the typical Pop star mold struggle to hold top ten positions in their domestic markets, it seems that when it comes Lady GaGa and Ms.Adele, talent is truly a global affair.
