Last night (July 7), one of the most respected and hands down one of the richest men in hip-hp, rapper Jay-Z held a private listening party in New York City for his upcoming joint album with Kanye West, ‘Watch The Throne’. Hova released a few details including the slight possibility of a music video for the duo’s song ‘Lift Off’ featuring Beyonce, collaborations with Frank Ocean, his upcoming solo project, and more.

Though, he wouldn’t spill the news on the set’s much speculated release date, he insisted the album is coming “soon”. The rapper suggested a video for ‘Lift Off’ a collaboration with wife Beyonce could appear, but that he was reluctant to follow a traditional, single driven release for “Watch The Throne.” Of the eleven songs played last night, R&B newcomer and Odd Future affiliate Frank Ocean appears on two. Jay-Z also confirmed that he was two songs deep into his own solo project and that Frank Ocean is featured on one of them.
