In news lighting up the blog-o-sphere as we speak, ‘Motivation’ singer Kelly Rowland is rumored to be gearing up for a tour with R&B heartthrob Chris Brown. The news comes days before the release of Rowland’s third studio effort ‘Here I Am’ (due July 26th). Though tight-lipped about the developments, C. Breezy took to Twitter yesterday to say:
If this is indeed true, the R&B gods have heard the prayer of many fan. The news comes as a great jump-start for Rowland, whose promotions have been a tad slow. However, with tomorrow being the beginning of the release week, we’re keen to see more of Miss Kelly in the coming days.

I think kelly should be big enough of a star to headline her own theater tour, I don’t think she can sell out an Arena yet, but she should be able to sell out a theater. to me it doesn’t look right for someone who has been in the game for 15 years to open up for Chris Brown. hell Destinys child going on tour would be a better look and pull bigger crowds to expose her music. when a artist opens a show they have very little control over the show they usually have a back drop a few lights, and little rehearsal time with the crew because the heart and soul of the show goes to the main act. kelly should have a live band, back up singers, props, dancers and personal stage design. If this tour is true I hope she wont be singing and dancing to a instrumental track with a guy pointing a spotlight and a big grey curtain in the back ground.

Anywho, when I heard about this on twitter I didn’t believe t cause it just sounded so random! I mean Chris & Kelly?! I NEVER would have thought of the two of them. Maybe, Ciara, Keri as far as females go but NEVER Kelly. *shrugs* Plus it came out right after Chris tweeted that he WASN’T going to release names or dates until everything has been confirmed. Seemed really weird. Chris nor Kelly have confirmed in on their twitters so I guess we’ll just have to wait for confirmation.
Even though it hasn’t been confirmed yet I think it will be a good look for both of them. I think it’s safe to say that even though Kelly has been in the Game a lot longer than Breezy, her fanbase isn’t as large as his since she went solo. This could really help her out. I think both her & CB appeal to a majority urban fanbase and this could help bring both their fanbases out. I’m just ready for Kelly to get some more material out for her to perform.
I am really worried about Kelly though! I mean her album leaked & it comes out in 2 days & there is basically NO buzz except for on urban blogs! We haven’t seen her perform since the BET Awards & she has done NO interviews or performances since. She hasn’t even done a freaking interview! SMH. I know she is doing 106 on the day of her album release but that just seems too little to late. I was rooting for her but it really does seem like her album might flop. SMH.
