Rihanna‘s racy antics and barely there outfits have seen her serve as the bain of many a parent. It seems the popular model agrees; for, in the latest issue of Glamour magazine the 23 year old laments on having to be a role model.
Her comments after the jump…
“I want to set the right example and, at the same time, live my life.
I feel like pop stars can’t be rock stars anymore because they have to be role models, and it takes the fun out of it for us, because we just want to have fun with art”. {Source}
This marks the 2nd time in recent time that The Noise has referred to herself as a role model – albeit a reluctant one. Makes you wonder, though: what exactly makes Rihanna a role model? Her mediocre talent? Her near-nakedness on stage? Pictures such as the classy shot above?
Admittedly still shocked at Ri’s success, yours truly realised much of it stems from her knowing her role (Pop puppet) and playing it well. Hence, so as for the already gassed-up bubble to not burst, she’d be better off not even trying to take her “art” or “rock star” status seriously, for she’ll only become a bigger joke than she is now. Just saying…
