Although The Game and Chris Brown just recently released the visual to their anxiously awaited ‘Pot of Gold’, the song seems to have struck several chords across the industry – with remakes and -mixes popping up left and right. Following the trend, R&B crooner Ne-Yo enlists his new artist, Youtube sensation Loren Allred, to help rework the record.
Listen to the Def Jam duo’s take on the tune after the jump:
Allred may have done better all by herself. Ne-yo’s assistance on the track will definitely gain it publicity, but the ‘Pot of Gold’ remake saw Allred almost outshine her more famous co-star. Here’s hoping this track (and many more to come) will be the launching pad for the recent Def-Jam signee who has already generated quite the buzz from her ‘Idol’ stint.

great move neyo
love Ne-Yo. really missing him these days. Can’t wait for the next album to drop.
dope Neyo sounds better on this hook and the girl’s voice is amazing her tone sounds like a mix of jlo and sade. i loved it
like the original better. chris brown gives the hook a nice edge to the game’s rap. is this some kind of retaliation of def jam (jay-z) targeted at the game.
OH HELL NO….LOL!
Her voice sounds bland! Neyo sounds too much like Chris Brown to make this work.
*I LOVE THE ORIGINAL POT OF GOLD! CHRIS AND GAME DID THE DAMN THING! 🙂
Ne-Yo makes this she needed him on it her voice wouldnt have worked on the chorus
I love the original and this version.
