For starters, Melanie Fiona is still stunning regardless of her hairstyle; but even more important, as far as musical purposes are concerned, this woman can sing her ass off!!! People are so consumed with the physical that they fail to realize talent. Hence the reason people think that yodelling is soul-singing, or that riding a beat makes a good singer. Melanie Fiona is a talented vocalist, and I have mad respect for her for that reason. Regarding her hair, her hair is naturally curly, so nothing was done that a little mousse or gel can’t fix, besides I appreciate the fact that she’s trying something new. For the comments about her being boring – let’s not conflate maturity with being boring. No, she may not be rockin’ a bikini on stage or p-poppin’-on-a-handstand with background dancers. No, she may not be releasing s** tapes or dying her hair obnoxious extraterrestrial colors. She’s a lady, a mature one at that. So you can call her boring, I can call her a self-respecting woman. Also for the comment about her performing for white men, the fact of the matter is that white-men = record execs, so if you can find any artist that does not perform (sadly) for white men in some capacity, I will be highly impressed. Also, I could really care less who she dates, as I pay to listen to her music not sift through a catalog of the men that she’s dated or has not dated – beyond my interest #yadoingtoomuch. Team Melanie Fiona all day everyday 🙂
I think Melanie Fiona’s great. A lot of other people’s comments annoy me. She’s beautiful no matter what. Most of the people that comment how they hate it probably don’t have cute hair anyways.
