It seems that US and UK audiences aren’t the only ones ‘Watching The Throne’.
For according to this weeks Global Chart figures, ‘Watch The Throne’ by Jay Z & Kanye West is the highest selling LP in the world.

Despite the fact that promotion of the LP has been concentrated in its domestic market alone, it is #1 on the United World Chart followed by Adele‘s ‘21′ which has now sold 8.81 million copies worldwide since February.
At #4 is Amy Winehouse with ‘Back To Black‘, followed by GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way’ which is #6.
At #7 is Beyonce‘s ‘4‘ which has moved a whopping 1.37 million copies in less than eight weeks and resides above Rihanna‘s ‘Loud’ which is this weeks #17.

Okay, not so much TYPICAL, but very overrated. TBH, the direction they took with the album was NOT the right one. I did not like the way they experimented, the autotune just ruined some songs, and it was too much EGO, and not enough substance. When I listen to hip hop, I want to listen to SUBSTANCE for a WHOLE album, ya know? Not just one or two songs, then the rest spitting nonsense about how much money they have and how they are the s***. That’s why I like Mos def because his albums were consistent and didnt have too much of his ego in it….SO I actually do agree it dosent sound like anything on the radio, but that’s not always a good thing.

I definately feel what your saying. Anyone who listens to Jay and Kanye knows they put alot of ego in their music. And the autotune did f*** up some songs. I dont mind autotune, but it doesnt belong in rap. Production wise, I’d say was 10/10. I like how they sampled James Brown and Otis Redding and others.
