The web was set abuzz earlier today as headlines across the blog-0-sphere cited Esquire as naming pop singer Rihanna ‘the sexiest woman alive’. However, such was quickly shot down to ‘misunderstanding’. The rumors, sparked by a video from the vixen’s Esquire photoshoot, were quickly dispelled by the magazine. In fact, according to votes by readers of the publication, the ‘SOS’ singer didn’t even make it past the top 16 candidates.

While no fans of Rihanna’s signature bleats over beats, we’re always supportive of the fashion forward Fenty doing what she does best – pose. Thusly, even we must take her side in this debate. Is it ironic that the magazine would use the more popular face in its ads? We’ll let the Navy decide.
