We certainly cannot knock Christina Milian‘s hustle.
For, with it being years since she last scored a hit of any variety, the talent singer stays getting work. Case, point, example, her appointment on the upcoming series of ‘The Voice’.
More on her role after the jump…
NBC announced today that the ‘Dip It Low’ singer will serve as the official Social Media Correspondent for the hit talent search.
The role (previously eld by Alison Haislip) will see Milian make regular appearances during the live broadcasts. Sh will also interact with fans through Facebook, Twitter, NBC.com and NBC Live. Tweets from fans who use #TheVoice hashtag will also be show at the bottom of the screen during live shows.
Speaking on why they enlisted Milian, Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC said:
“Christina’s extensive musical background and widespread recognition make her the perfect choice for the role of Social Media Correspondent on ‘The Voice’. Her experience as a singer will provide a comfort level to our artists when they speak to her about the ins and outs of the competition. She is a hugely valuable addition as we prepare for another spectacular season.”
Season 2 of ‘The Voice’ kicks off February 5th 2012 in quite spectacular fashion. For, it’ll air immediately following Super Bowl XLVI, with it also airing on its usual day and time the following night, February 6th at 8 pm.

Kudos to Christina. Hopefully, this provides the platform she’s so needed to re-establish her music career. I mean, she may not be the most gifted vocalist, but she definitely presents the full package (in that she can sing, dance, act, and has ‘presence’). Besides, I’m fed up of having to keep pressing ‘repeat’ on the ever-infectious ‘Zipper’. Bring on that new material already!
