Stateside fans of Nicole Scherzinger have been dealt yet another blow today. For, the Pop vixen has pushed back the US release of her debut LP ‘Killer Love’.
Full story after the jump…
After a slew of unhonoured dates, the album was finally set to hit American outlets on November 15th.
However, The Hollywood Reporter reveal that the the singer’swill only confirm an “early December” store date for the set. Note-worthy in that the European version was released back in March.
While logic concurs with her team wanting to leverage her X Factor exposure against the release, it’s still a tricky game they’re playing. Yes, her inevitable performance on the live shows will help her cause, as will a Holiday release; yet sometimes that simply isn’t enough. Ask Jennifer Lopez or more over Ciara, whose ‘Basic Instinct’ project tanked in quite shocking fashion last Christmas after delays and label drama.
And though ‘label drama’ isn’t something Scherzinger has to deal with (Interscope are clearly fully behind her), at least Ms. Harris had a hit. Something Nicole is still searching for Stateside.
That said, ‘success’ is still there to play for. For her sake, though, this new date needs to stick.
