It may have occurred two years ago, but it seems that the vicious attack carried out R&B performer Chris Brown on his then girlfriend Rihanna remains just as detrimental to his image as it was when it actually happened.
For, in response to the media’s continued ‘coverage’ or rather discussion of the ‘incident’, the entertainer has lashed out via the social networking platform, Twitter.
Find out what he said below…
I dont say shit to anybody and everyone feels its cool to attack me. GROWN ADULTS!!!! that shit happened three years ago!
TWITTER GETS WACK REAL FAST! I LOVE ALL THE POEPLE WHO SUPPORT MY MUSIC! i never said i was a LEGEND
Adding:
Ive never dealt with so much negativity in my life! its to the point now that its just ridiculous! IM NOT A POLITICIAN! MY MUSIC DOESNT PROMOTE VIOLENCE nor will it ever! only thing it will increase is the pregnacy rate! I wake up thinking of living my life…..
YOU wake up thinking of me! NOW I REALLY CANT WAIT FOR THE AMA’s! u dont have to respect me now… but u will.
Tut tut tut.
It is clear as a summer’s day that in Brown’s world- ‘the incident’ is a far and distant memory- most likely regarded as a ‘forbidden’ topic by the nodding puppets he employs.
It’s high time he realized that while the some may have ‘forgiven’ him for what he did, very few will ever really ‘forget’ about it.
Because, even after two years, it seems Brown isn’t actually sorry for what he did but rather irked by the fact that people dare to criticize him for it.
From the way he treated Robin Roberts– one of the only journalists to treat him with a respect some would argue he is undeserving of- to the ignorant and homophobic remarks he made with regards to alleged sexual abuse victim Raz B, Chris has become quite the unlikable character.
Only time will tell if his public image will ever be able to get back to what it was before the fateful February evening.
