Lil Kim Loses TV Role To Rival Female Rapper

Published: Wednesday 30th Nov 2011 by David

Some time ago, That Grape Juice reported that Lil Kim was to serve as judge on the upcoming televised TV show ‘America’s Next Top Rapper‘, alongside Director X and the producer Rockwilder.

Now, in what will come as a shocking blow to her fan base- who understandably were hoping the gig would help kick start her ailing career- today saw confirmation that she has been replaced by a rival female Rapper.

All the details below…

Minutes ago, VIBE Magazine published an ‘updated’  version of the show’s press release which confirmed that Trina is to serve as the contest’s only female judge and not Kim,as had been previously announced.

While a motive behind the switch is yet to be confirmed or even acknowledged, it would seem that Trina’s newly found ‘light and bright’ persona made her an attractive candidate for the series.

We have to admit though, we were actually looking forward to seeing just how Kim would fare in this show- especially after she excelled in her judging position on Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search For The Next Doll some years back.

Though she is claiming she jumped and was not pushed,we wouldn’t be surprised if recent comments made by Jones about a certain Rap mogul and his clique in the song ‘I Am Not The One’  had something to do with her ‘removal’ from the contest.
