The last few days have given Canadian Rapper Drake much to smile about.

For, with his album ‘Take Care‘ moving 659,000 copies in its first week of release (giving it the second highest selling first week figure to be released by a full priced album this year) his status as Rap’s leading man has never looked more secure.

Kudos to Drake for  all of his recent successes.

Selling that many copies  of an album without the aid of a #1 single only serves to prove that consumers will only purchase what they believe in.

Rihanna take note.
