As the man behind the careers of P!nk, Usher, Justin Bieber and Rihanna, X Factor USA judge LA Reid has proven over the years that his eye for talent is almost without fault.
Now, in what will be sure to serve as good news for X Factor UK alum Cher Lloyd, the Epic Executive has revealed just how he thinks she will fare as an artist in the US.
His comments below…
When asked for his thoughts on the ‘Sticks & Stones’ belle, he explained:
Listen, you need to know that Cher Lloyd will be a massive star in America. Watch out. Cher Lloyd, watch it.
While Lloyd’s notoriety in the UK is an indicator that the US general public may find her just as interesting, comments such as these should be uttered with caution.
For, all one has to do is look at what happened when JLS and NDubz when they tried to ‘make it’ States Side to see that success in one market does not automatically guarantee success in another.
However, with confirmation that Team Cher is tweaking her debut album for its US release and with Syco firmly behind her, there is little doubt her US campaign will be impressive -to say the least.
