Meanwhile, Rap Tsar Drake continues his impressive run with the LP ‘Take Care‘ coming it at #7 with 75,774 units moved within the last seven days despite the project’s failure to spawn a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.
Adele‘s ‘21‘ is this week’s #2 with a mind blowing 274, 963 copies moved, enjoying a sales increase of 48% in the last week alone ,almost a year after it became available for purchase in the country.
In at #12 is Amy Winehouse‘s posthumous ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures‘ which shifted 57,092 copies, placing it 14 spots above Mary J. Blige‘s ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues‘ with 38,870 units.
Elsewhere, Justin Bieber‘s ‘Under The Mistletoe‘ enjoyed a 5% increase in sales raking in sales of 165,571 within the space of the last seven days.

the grammys are not the only way to decide if an album is critically acclaimed. the grammys nominate 5 albums that doesnt mean every other album released within that era is not critically acclaimed. they nominate some albums based on quality like 21 and some based on popularity like loud, teenage dream. Kanye’s album was not nominated either but it earned rave reviews and we’re not talking about individual songs cus that’s about opinions. the album was critically acclaimed period. Talk That Talk was released worldwide in late November to an opening of over 500,000 copies sold — easily clearing her career biggest launch. Following, just two weeks later, Talk That Talk continued to break Rihanna records by becoming her fastest album to shift over a 1,000,000 units. Additionally, she is only the fourth female artist to achieve as many following Mariah, Madonna, and Whitney Houston. In 2011 alone, Rihanna accumulated an additional two number #1s on the Hot 100 in “S&M” and “We Found Love”. Rihanna also further extended her record of most Billboard Pop Song Chart #1’s in the chart’s history with 9 and Top 10’s with 19. Rihanna has sold more digital singles than any other artist in the US with over 60 million units sold. As with all Rihanna’s singles, the success of these chart toppers is not limited to the US. Rihanna leads the United World Singles Chart with over 22 million points for the year. “We Found Love” went #1 in 15 countries including a 6 week stay at #1 in the UK, becoming the longest running #1 of the year and the longest since her very own “Umbrella” in 2007. It was her sixth #1 in five consecutive years, a record unequaled by any other female solo artist. It also tied her with Madonna for most trans-Atlantic #1 singles. After a month, Talk That That has only managed to sell approx. 365k units (some acts do twice that in a week.) What the hell kind of pop “star” can’t do better than this rinky-dink pebble s***? And during the Christmas season too. I mean, wasn’t that the whole point of releasing it when she did…so that she could grab holiday sales?! Fail.
Try as you might to create a diversion by clinging to extraneous BS like UK/Worldwide tidbits; you’re not fooling anyone and you’re not altering the dismal reality. Face the truth: Nobody wants her s*** if it costs more than the price of a single on iTunes.
The bottom line is that Talk That That is a motherfucking flop album.

Wow!!! Bey vs Rih, TTT vs 4 I love both of these artist and purchased both of their cd’s I really dnt understand why ppl compare them they are completely different type of artist. 4 happens to be my favorite bey album and the only one besides her debut album crazy in love that I can listen to without skiping a track beyonce is dat b**** and aint nobody f***** wit her performance wise even at 9mos but I have to admit she started to bore me durin her IASF era it just seem like everything she was doin at the time I had seen or heard it the first two album I think beyonce played it safe for so long dat when she did decide to switch it up lost alot of ppl with 4 which sounds nothin like anything she has ever released she was more open and vunerable I feel like 4r her growth vocally

Talk That Talk should have been released in 2012 at least, rihannas label are clearly milking her for all shes worth. i can still play 4 and love it as much as i did when i first bought it, but i got bored of TTT. Rihanna doesnt have anything to do with her music other than singing it, she will never have another RATED R, she gets more attention by changing her hairstyle rather than her talent and thats a fact.
Some (most) of the posts here are stupid. If you know about the industry, you know that shifting albums is a priority. I’d call it a weak album…I don’t even like the first single but she clearly has a lot of work and searching to do. The album seemed very pointless.
