Because, despite selling over 16 million copies world wide since last year, her album ’21‘ has now sold enough copies to match a record held by the ‘Titanic’ soundtrack.
Indeed, with 16 weeks spent at #1 in the US, it has now matched the soundtrack’s previously unbeaten chart run.

As if that wasn’t enough, with 104,000 copies sold in the US last week, the LP has now spent 16 weeks atop the Billboard 200, beating records previously held by The Beatles and Pink Floyd. Both of whom amassed 15 weeks on top with their respective albums ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and ‘The Wall’.
With the rate ’21’ is selling, it won’t be long before it becomes the highest selling album of all time.
