To say the very least, the current line up of the Brit trio the Sugababes have -quite unfortunately -become somewhat of a poorly written joke.
Now, following the embarrassment that was the trio’s ‘Freedom’, fans of the group’s original line up can breathe a sigh of relief today.
Indeed, if reports that surfaced today are to believed, Sugababes 1.0 have reformed and are readying new music in a bid to launch an assault on the UK charts later on this year.

According to DigitalSpy, Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy – who made up the original line up of the group- have joined forces eleven years after Donaghy left the group and was replaced by Atomic Kitten alum Heidi Range who is now the longest running member of the trio.
This following the departures of Buena and Buchanan in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
Taking to Twitter to confirm the reports, Mutya and Keisha teased:
As if The Restylanes didn’t already have enough trouble to deal with.
Here’s to hoping the original line up have resolved whatever issues that caused their demise all those years ago and serve up material just as ground breaking as ‘One Touch‘.
