Rihanna Dethrones Lady GaGa On YouTube

Published: Monday 23rd Jan 2012 by David

In an age where technology governs almost everything we do, online feats scored by performers have become just as renowned as successes scored on the charts and acclaim awarded by critics.

Now find out how Island tart Rihanna has controversially dethroned Pop star Lady GaGa on YouTube,to become the site’s reigning queen, below…

With over 2,068,076,591  views, Rihanna beats GaGa’s 2,044,728,691, making Fentythe highest viewed songstress on the site.

Attracting a cool 3 million views per day, Rihanna’s  success comes as GaGa watches her online popularity suffer, still unable to match her 201o-2011 peak, possibly as a result of the chart failures that have been ‘Marry The Night’ and ‘You & I’.

However, it is Justin Bieber who reigns as the King Of YouTube with a whopping 2,275,845,406, surpassing feats scored by Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and even Adele.

Seeing as Rihanna doesn’t have a #1 album, her own set of Grammys and a world renowned stage show, GaGa fans shouldn’t feel too bad about this.

Because, what good are YouTube views if your viewers don’t buy the album your videos are supposed to be promoting.

However, it is clear that the ‘risk’ GaGa took with ‘Born This Way‘ has not paid off, seeing as this era’s sales and popularity pales in comparison to that of ‘The Fame‘s and ‘The Fame Monster’s.
