Pop queen Janet Jackson is playing no games with the promotional push for NutriSystem, her new healthy living gig.
The latest stop on the trail, saw the ever-youthful star pay a visit to The Tonight Show Wit Jay Leno last night.

We love us some Janet, but between her book and healthy living hoopla, she’s becoming a bit of a bore.
Indeed, the carnage that was the Superbowl not only affected her sales (unfairly, I must add), it’s created a much more timid (and altogether less interesting) Ms. Jackson. Perhaps in a bid to not offend, her interviews these days tend to consist of childish giggles, with little of real substance ever conveyed. Where’s the gutsy Janet of 93 who’d put Madonna in her place or the Janet who’d set an interviewer straight about her tour sales? She’s successful enough to be able to tell it like it is.
Let’s just hope these interviews and retrospective tours, are being actioned to carve out the way for a comeback.

2. I see u’re tryin to boost ur page visits with this shady a** post. Janet’s interviews have, for the most part, always been like this. If the reporter/host only asks the same questions over and over, you’re gonna get the same answer. How many different ways can you answer the same questions.
Quite honestly, she’s a little less guarded here than she has been in recent years. She put Jay in his place when he told her she was being polite and she didn’t give a politically correct answer regarding her niece, Paris, getting into acting.
Janet giggles a lot..she ALWAYS has. It’s even in her music. She’s not gonna be a different person. Get the point…good, let’s dance!
She looks good though! However, she really needs to hit the studio. I am getting tired of the weight loss stuff.

I stayed up to watch the interview last night and I loved every minute of it although, Jay Leno seemed to be jumping around with the topics. How do we go from Nutri System to the cover of the janet album? Lol whatever I still enjoyed it and as usual, Janet looks FAB! That dress is too cute and Im happy her hair has grown out again :-)! Jay Leno tried Janet a couple of times, First when he told her she was being really nice and in other words not real. Then he said in Hollywood, there bodies are perfect but their personal lives are screwed up. And then when she mentioned her personal trainer, she cut straight to his name. Jay Leno was challenging her big time, but Janet kept in business, and delightful only as she can! I just don’t think she sold Jay Leno on the nutrisystem idea.
Being a grown ass woman is ALL that’s needed…no shade, no bad words, no tricking for attention necessary. GO Janet!

Janet has never being rude with anybody, specially with Madonna, Madonna has always being the most stronger and arrogant B**** in the game, nobody can put her down, janet has a delicate and sophisticated personality, i know she is a strong woman but in front of Madonna’s personality she is weak. Every time Janet talks, I smile. She’s so freaking sweet. Im one of the biggest Beyonce fans….but Bey and I both know that with Miss jackson, there would be not Bey.
Janet, too me, has always been guarded and private. And I don’t blame her. She puts her heart and her soul on that stage. I not a fan of her voice, but when it comes to performance and dance…..she’s the best.
And every time I think about the Superbowl incident, I get pissed. I can’t believe she experienced that much backlash…smh. But let me not get started .
I don’t know what’s going on with all the celebs doing these weight and health commercials… but if this get Americans to be more more healthy, kudos to them.
That is my girl!!! She looked amazing even more when I saw her last year at The Number One’s tour in Toronto, but Jay is a horrible interviewer!!! He kept asking about her weight issue, not even ” Are you dropping a new album soon?” “Are you doing more movies?” You know proper questions, but besides that she looked really good!! Haters stay mad- that is real talent right there!!!

There was an interview with MTV where she said that she felt that her music style had more class than Madonna’s and in the Vibe magazine where she has the You Want This outfit on the cover, she was asked about Madonna and her response was that her mother told her if she didn’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.
But all of that was around the time Madonna was being a B***H to Michael and we all know Janet don’t play when it comes to takin pot shots at him.

Madonna was successfully put in her place by Michael (who called her a “nasty witch” , said she “was not a lady” , “not s***” & named his albino python after her)
Despite all of this and the s*** she said about him (calling him a ‘space alien drag queen’ calling him ‘gay” – saying she wanted to give him a makeover) , she still defended him in ’03 and planned to perform with him at the 02 before his passing.
She also did that self-centered speech in his honor at the 2009 MTV Awards
In conclusion, Madonna and Mike had their differences but they worked past them
If Madonna was hurt by anyone’s words, it was definitely his (and Sean Penn’s)
