With American Idol back on the small screen, judge Jennifer Lopez has hit the promotional trail – with her latest stop being The Today Show.
What the singer, likely, wasn’t expecting to be hit with was questions about her private life. But host Matt Lauer went “there” and then some, grilling the diva on her divorce from ex Marc Anthony, working with him so soon after, and a whole lot more.

Kudos to Lauer for doing what far too many journalists stray away from: asking the questions folk really want answers to. That said, props also to J.Lo, who kept it candid, yet classy.

But some things i dont like about her are: she rarely talks about her kids, like she’s ashamed of being a mom, shes like Kim Kardashian but with talent. A BED HOPPER.. yeah we get it.. ur husband cheated, but she moved on way too quick with a guy 20 years younger than her. blahh

@CHRISFRESH trustt! I agree, she should put her kids more involved in her public life, but then again, she said she wants to give them a similar upbringing and this way no one can accuse her of staying current because of her kids, so I think it is right she doesn’t bring them up often.
She wants to keep her kiids private and not turn them into another Suri Cruise. Her kids are nobody’s business. Marc is the same. Her kids should not be involved in this tabloid world. I also admire Britney for acting like this as well. She keeps her kids private.

I applaud her for not bringing up her children and putting them in the public eye! Liek the other person said about Suri Cruise… She is/was SO famed whored out to the public and all over gossip magazines…

Great interview. She did handle the questions well, but none were really super digging. Just kinda when Matt practically reasked the Marc question by bringing up her magazine quote. Now the question I would have asked, as a fan… is to question why the album was named “Love?” and see why she stated in interviews that there was no problems in her marriage during its creation, yet there are songs like “Starting Over” and “One Love” which seem to clearly speak on her current standing in life (newly divorced). Now THAT right there would have been a question that would have kept her on her toes!

@Jer B**** no credible journalist would “go in” on Beyonce because she is THE BEST OF THE BEST. She gives them the big numbers they crave (ratings), and she’s HUMBLE and they KNOW IT.
