They are not going to do that cos Adele has not the competition of memorable albums like Mariah had to face in the 90´s. that´s the reason why Beyonce has so many grammys in the 00´s too. Not that huge competition (plus she only has them in the R&B category)
Well of course I’m mostly excited to see my boy Breezy! It’s his first time back since we all know what and I just want him to kill it and take home at least one award!! I think he has a good chance of winning one for ‘LAMN’ and possibly Best r&b album for F.A.M.E since his album was the most successful of all the others in that category this year. I’ve noticed that for the past couple of years the front runner usually wins in Best r&b categories like Usher last year & Beyonce the year before. Best r&b usually isn’t hard to predict. If he lost to R. Kelly I wouldn’t be too pressed though.
Even though I hate ‘TUTM’ with a passion I’m excited about the performance because I’ve seen several tweets from people who were at his rehearsals last night & said he killed it an we were all in for a surprise! He’s supposed to perform ‘Beautiful People’ and that record with David Guetta & Lil Wyane so I’m excited to see that. Plus he’s performing twice so I know he is gonna give his all! He has so much to prove and I’m just praying he kills it!
I’m so nervous and excited for him!
Now that I’ve gotten Breezy out of the way, on to the next……
Everyone keeps saying Adele is gonna sweep the Awards, and I do believe she is gonna take home some, but people keep forgetting this is the Grammys and they can be truly unpredictable! Last year Katy Perry was nominated for 6 and didn’t take home any! Then Eminem had 8 nominations & he only took home two. Sometimes the people that you expect to sweep the Awards don’t & random people that you never heard of win. You just never know with the Grammys!
This is Adele’s first big show since her surgery so everyone wants to see if her vocals are still the same. I hope she performs ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ because I am so sick of ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’.
Either way Adele has had an INCREDIBLE year and I’m sure it’s gonna be a big night for her.
I like that ‘Princess of China’ song with Coldplay & Rihanna but I never look forward to hearing Rihanna ‘sing’ so……yeah.
I doubt Beyonce is gonna show up, especially after they snubbed ‘4’ like that when it was some of her best work to date and A LOT better than some of the other albums nominated. She’s prolly gonna stay home and eat some popcorn & chill with Blue Ivy and her pet camel. Lol!
I really hope Kelly Rowland wins for ‘Motivation’! Even though her album flopped ‘Motivation’ was a bit of a career resurrection for her and it would be nice to see her take home the Grammy.
I’m excited to see A Keys. She doesn’t have any new material out so I’m assuming she is gonna be performing new material off her new album she’s working on. I guess we’ll see.
I don’t like Katy Perry and I’m NOT here for Nicki’s gimmicky ass! Neither one of them are good performers so there is nothing to look forward to with them except some silly costumes.
I’m dying to see if Nicki is gonna take home anything especially Best New Artist. I hope J Cole wins that one but I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave it to someone else. *shrugs*
All in all I am REALLY looking forward to the Grammys tonight & expecting a lot of great moments. I know twitter will be LIVE! I can’t wait!
