Catholic League : “Nicki Minaj Is Blasphemous”

Published: Wednesday 15th Feb 2012 by David

Following her controversial set at the 2012 Grammy Awards, Nicki Minaj has come under fire from ‘The Catholic League‘, who have labelled the Rapper a blasphemous attention seeker.

Details below…

The League’s President Bill Donahue explains:

Whether Minaj is possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of the Recording Academy. Never would they allow an artist to insult Judaism or Islam.

There are Catholic priests who are trained to perform exorcisms, and it seems plain that the time has come for Nicki Minaj to make an appointment.

Even worse than Minaj is The Recording Academy that runs the Grammys: they knew exactly what she was going to do and gave her the green light. I’ve never heard of a collective exorcism, but there is a first time for everything.

In case you don’t know who Donahue is, he is the man who labelled the parents of child abuse victims liars when they spoke out against the predatory Priests responsible for that abuse.

So just for that, his comments are nul in void.

While  his stance on her ‘questionable’ theme is understandable, his habit of focusing on trivialities  and downplaying the issues that are really damaging Catholicism are a joke- to say the least.

But what do you think?

Was Nicki out of line?
