I like Melanie (& will be buying the cd), BUT all of her slow songs sound alike & are about the same subject matter (man doing her wrong).

Melaine Fiona has boxed herself from an artist standpoint because her sound nor has her subject matter changed. Artists like her will go only so far no matter how talented she is. She falls under the category of a Tamia, or Deborah C**. Talented but no real buzz or no one really pays attention.

It’s amazing how subjective music is.. Vocally, Melanie Fiona is better than 90% of all the other female singers on the horizon, of all races. She is consistently solid in her execution and is not one to have to hide behind the smoke and mirrors of digital recording. Y’all go insane over some gimmicky pop singer, singing about nothing, but call music with real subject matter “average” or “mediocre”…. Ridiculous.. Y’all should go and actually experience life and then comeback and LISTEN to lyrics and stop searching for your next club song with an accompanying dance for you to do.

I want Melanie Fiona to not release some slow s*** for once. Here vocals need a mid-tempo or up-beat joint that would do her style justice. This is actually a pretty lame dragged out song.

Amazing! Like most of her new material! Melanie can deliver heartfelt music and she’s a great vocalist. Despite some of the criticism, I think she has taken her sound a step further this time around, her album is shaping up to be much more cohesive than her debut. She’s found her lane 🙂 I’m sure the album will be amazing!!
