Tonight saw the airing of the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards. With a moving tribute to Whitney Houston from gospel singer Yolanda Adams to Jill Scott and Jennifer Hudson, tonight’s showing saw some powerhouse voices hit the stage.
Get into all the action after the jump:
Dang. No one can touch whitney’s voice though. Not even Yolanda. The Preacher’s Wife, her voice was so beautiful in that movie!
YOLANDA ATE THAT UP! Whew Jesus, she took me straight to church.
Yolanda almost had the holy ghost come and pay me a visit!!!!! What is the song call???
I am in tears. Love an miss you Whitney. Your legacy will live through your fans…we never left you and never will.
Tell Michael, Etta, Leena, James Brown, Tupac and the rest I said hello.

SANG Yolanda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whitney just smiled! =)
WHO WON??
*Wipes tears* RIP Whitney, amazing tribute Yolanda Adams
right, whitney’s “i love the lord” version is so beautiful, yolanda couldn’t even touch it, she had to get preachy w/ it just to take it to that level for the goosebump factor. No shade though.
And that J.Hud and NeYo collabo was so awkward, Jennifer just stood “flatfooted” and sang while NeYo was dancing in circles like a m*****….it was really horrible version of the song and performance they gave, ….I just kept thinking get Beyonce and Justin timberlake on this and do “aint nuthin like the real thing again”…
Anoiting ooozed and poured ot of Yolanda Adams
SPIRITUAL SLAYING!!
Bless
I LOVE Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo performing together, they are the absolute DREAM TEAM. I think they should do an album of duets, it would be superb, stellar and a bestseller!!!
jennifer is so boaring to watch, nice voice. No personality…just boaring.
