Two of the craftsmen behind some of Barbadian beauty Rihanna‘s biggest hits have joined forces to try their luck at doing the same sans-Riri. ‘We Found Love’ producer Calvin Harris has found an enlistee in singer/songwriter Ne-Yo for ‘Let’s Go’ – the first single off the Brit’s yet titled third album (due later this year). Like Harris, Ne-Yo’s next project is also due later this year.
And, while Ne-Yo hasn’t found much success on the solo tip when his latest ‘Libra Scale’ failed to meet expectations, the singer’s recent contributions as ‘assistant’ have led many-a-rapper to the top of the charts.

Very reminiscent of ‘We Found Love’ in the sped up chorus, but also similar to Ne-Yo’s ‘Closer’. In such, the crooner’s vocals – as this type of beat is familiar territory – compliments effortlessly. Just in time for spring, this jam will certainly get the crowds moving all the way through the summer.
The only unfortunate aspect of this is that when radio is already flooded with so many generic dance tracks it’s (sometimes) hard to differentiate the good from the bad. Here’s hoping this song, accompanied with a hot video, will aid with listeners making the distinction.
