‘Hot Boys’ hitmaker Missy Elliott is looking to bring the heat on her long awaited comeback album due in June. Reuniting with longtime collaborator Timbaland, the eccentric femcee is looking to get the party started with the new, aptly titled ‘Block Party’ LP.
As Tim’s project is also due in June, the superproducer took time from his SXSW set to show off some of the two’s new new for fans anxious for samples from the summer sets. Needless to say, if what he imparted is anything to judge by, the lessers need to begin worrying now…

Don’t know why everyone’s hating on Nicki. Thanx to her, people are once again interested in female rap. Anyway, I couldn’t really see less hear anything, but it sounded ( from what I could make out) like Timbo went back to his oldschool style, so I’m sure this track is gonna be banging.

Now I’m very happy Missy is coming back on the scene. She’s the real innovator in female hip hop. No gimmicks, no surgical enhancements, & especially no disrespect towards other female rappers.
Everybody seems to forget that there can be more than 1 female rapper on the scene. Think back to the “golden era of female hip hop”. You had Kim, Foxy, Dabrat, L Boogie, EVE, Rah Digga, Trina, Missy & Left Eye from TLC. They were all different & successful. There you have it. It can be like that in 2012.
