Lady GaGa Sells Out Twickenham Stadium… In Ten Minutes

Published: Friday 13th Apr 2012 by David

In the space of four short years, Lady GaGa has become one of the world’s greatest live acts.

Breaking many a record with 2010’s ‘Monster Ball’, the ‘Fame’ star is gearing up to one up herself with 2012’s ‘Born This Way Ball’, selling out the enormous  Twickenham Stadium in record time.

Details below…

Seating 82,000 people, the stadium will be reworked to accommodate GaGa’s stage plans, unveiled in the image below:

Gracing the venue on September 8th of this year, tickets for  the Gothic themed show sold out in ten minutes, fueling reports Live Nation were to add a second date at the stadium in coming days.

Her record breaking feats comes days after chart rival Nicki Minaj slammed comparisons between the pair, during an interview for JuJu Chang and ‘Nightline‘, and weeks after her latest single ‘Marry The Night’ failed to score a favorable chart spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

This, despite the blockbuster campaign launched in its aid.

Who run the world? Girls! Gaga is gonna slay that stage! Her album might not have won any Grammy’s but it was still the best album of her career. I’m still waiting for her to do an itimate show like Roseland. When you sellout stadiums throught the globe, what is there left to do?

At the rate she is going, she will surely break Madonna’s record of highest grossing tour by a solo act. I don’t think Madonna will ever break her own sticky and sweet tour gross record

Born This Way may not have been The Best Selling Album of 2011, or got a Grammy, But everyone wants to hear the music live and wants to see THE QUEEN GAGA PERFORM! HAHAHA! GAGA IS SLAYING! SHE WILL BE MY QUEEN OF POP! I LOVE HER! PEOPLE DON’T GET GAGA BUT THATSTHEIR LOSS I GUESS 🙂

  13. WTF SIR April 13, 2012

    Wow

  14. Miao April 13, 2012

That’s my girl! Bow down “autotune pop lipsyncing” b******!

  15. Stephen April 13, 2012

@Miao: let us not act as if GaGa is a great vocalist. She isn’t much better vocally than the Katys and Rihannas of the world, if at all.

  16. JohnVidal (RIPWhitney-true great) April 13, 2012

haha Now the lessers need to shup up. I mean their fans. Where are they now?

    @Stephen
Are u crazy? Why do people go wild about watching gaga live and not Rihanna or Katy? Gaga can sing, can perform, and the most important thing to me about her, create songs. It´s not like she is a true great, but she definitely is the biggest and most exciting star nowadays

    U go gaga .

TBH , Posts like this make me re-think hundred times about my current situation as a rihanna stan , like this b**** is everything !!! for real no joking !! she’s art embodied in a human body and give her all as a hard worker woman. can’t knock her hustle , gaga is great 🙂

Love her 🙂 !!! can’t get any more excited about what she’s cooking for us. 🙂

rihanna , Gurl , if you are reading this , you should take notes from this b**** and i don’t mean the outfits, i mean this level of slaying !!!!

  18. Stephen April 13, 2012

@JohnVidal: GaGa is interesting on stage, no doubt. But vocally? Please, don’t deceive yourself. GaGa isn’t a skilled vocalist, she’s more of an entertainer

  19. #1QueenGaga April 13, 2012

That’s right b******!!! Gaga is slaying the world and over. These basic b****** better run for the hills.

  20. Onyx April 13, 2012

This year, i’m touring myself hahahhaha, i will be there.

  21. Miao April 13, 2012

@STEPHEN: Gaga dances and sings very, very, very well doing that! Everyone knows that! Therefore she can sell very expensive tickets in couple of minutes. That makes you mad? Oh, then, STAY MAD!

  22. Stephen April 13, 2012

@Miao: selling very expensive tickets doesn’t necessarily mean vocal talent. Madonna sells very expensive tickets, but doesn’t mean vocal greatness, same applies to your GaGa

  23. Guest April 13, 2012

    @Stephen
If she isn’t a great vocalist then why does almost everybody want her make an acoustic/jazz album, where vocals are one of, if not the main focus for those types of songs?

  24. Stephen April 13, 2012

@Guest: Don’t forget that the mediocre singing Madonna also recorded some jazz standard songs for the D*** Tracy soundtrack album. But it never changed the fact that, Madonna, just like GaGa, will never be remembered for her vocal prowess. It’s their stage craft that they’ll be remembered. GaGa will be remembered for being a great entertainer, not vocalist, and that’s not a bad thing anyway. When you’re speaking of great vocalists in the industry, it’s people like Brandy, not GaGa
