Despite watching the single skyrocket to top 10 charts everywhere over the past weeks, Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Starships’ has yet to fully launch on the visual tip…until now.
Finally fulfilling the wishes of Barbz and Ken Barbz everywhere, the clip, which was said to be ‘too saucy for TV’ by Minaj herself, has arrived for viewing pleasure.
Is it too late or will this be just the trick to launch the track to #1? You decide…
The clip serves as an ode to the rap kaleidoscope herself with its vibrant use of color. Certainly matching the summertime vibe of the tune, ‘Starships’ is like ‘Super Bass’ on speed. With the song already soaring to Billboard’s top 10, yours truly didn’t expect much from its accompany clip given how much later it premiered after the song. But, yet again, Miss Minaj pleasantly surprises.
While not epic or even Nicki’s best, it certainly suit her and the song and works as a fair representation of such. Probably would’ve helped ‘Roman Reloaded’ much more if this dropped..umm..two weeks ago.

Well that’s about 4 minutes of my life that I will never get back. First let’s talk about the lyrics. They aren’t even mediocre l… I would much rather listen to Dr.suess as opposed to this garbage. I felt like you would have to be on some type of serious drug like acid in order to think this video was okay. She never needs to try and dance, she can barely walk on beat… And realistically idk what type of photo shop job they did on this but she could be endorsed by adobe.
