Rap fiends rejoiced two weeks when ago when Azealia Banks announced she had received a ‘Direct Message‘ from Lil Kim on Twitter.
Prompting rumors of a collab between the pair, Banks gushed over the Rap Icon with “Most female Rappers are Lil Kim stans but just don’t know it“.
However, if actions carried out by the ‘212′ belle on Twitter are anything to go by, the pair’s short lived tech-mance has come to a bitter end.
Details below…
The above messages were posted by Banks earlier on today, and while absent of Kim’s actual name- members of the MC’s fan base noticed she had unfollowed her on Twitter and had followed her long time rival Nicki Minaj.
In response, Jones severed contact with Banks by unfollowing her- despite efforts by close friend William Prieto to connect the two after Azealia confirmed she was to collaborate with mutual gal pal Missy Elliott.
This marks the latest ‘disagreement’ Kim has had to face with an up & coming Femcee. In 2010, Baltimore based Rapper Keys is said to have cut ties with the Rapper after an alleged disagreement over ‘ghostwriting’.
Keys, who has since faded into obscurity, is said to have written the lyrics to Jones’ infamous ‘Black Friday’ release, despite claims she has always written her own material.
