Back in January, Rap sensation Iggy Azalea took to Twitter to announce that she had signed to Interscope Records, headed by Jimmy Iovine.
Going onto ink a deal with TI‘s ‘Grand Hustle’, the MC- by way of Twitter- led many to believe she was the proud owner of a joint deal between both groups, readying her debut album ‘The New Classic’ for this June.
However, in a shock twist, TI has revealed that Iggy is a free-agent and has not inked a deal with Interscope, despite earlier claims that she did.

Speaking to Blu Thiam of Def Jam Records, the Rapper revealed:
Iggy is a free- agent.
This,following claims by sources over at RU who say a deal between Iggy and Jimmy never took place, throwing the song bird’s career into uncertain ground.

For, putting aside how ‘icky’ this looks on a PR tip, Azalea may find herself at TI’s mercy if she doesn’t pick up a deal anytime soon-forced to release her project under ‘Grand Hustle’, or placed on the back burner if he has no financial incentive to push her.
Either way, here’s hoping Iggy lands a deal soon and puts this confused mess behind her.
