It’s been all of four years since the underrated brillance that was ‘Human’ came (and sadly went). Given the ample buzz and creative freedom now afforded to her, Ms. Norwood looks poised to stage a resonating comeback.
‘Human’, themeatically was almost a necessity for her at the time given the drama preceding it. However, as evidenced by the feel-good/hard-hitting appeal of ‘Put It Down’, the 33 year old is ready to leave the past in the past and show why she deserves a place in the concrete jungle that is the music industry in 2012. Now, all we need is that all-important video for the single!
Talented and hopefully she reaches all kinds of highs

No, Put it Down failed. Not even a video will make radio pick it up. Wasn’t a good choice for a single at all. Brandy is good at stacking harmonies and making music with meaning, what she put out was a mess. Chris can’t save anybody at this point.
I love your music Bran, as a real fan please give us some good ballads, they are your strong point. Those “put it down” type songs are not it. Your voice is soulful and needs space on a track. Leave the club bangers to rihanna.

I am a STAUNCH Supporter of Bran Music. I have ears for only her music. BUT I am not liking the way RCA is handling its artists. #Putitdown was realesed to itunes in May and released for radio more than a month later. WTF is that. Possible 3 months will go without a video. Anyone tell me wt da heil is happening. Promo is non-existent, no TV appearances, no performance no nothing. And now they set the release date for August. This is just way too soon. We need 3 more singles b4 the release of the album. Some youngsters don’t know who Brandy is and therefor she needs to be put out there. # Put it down is a great Opputnunity for that as it caters for Chris’s younger crop of listeners, so they need to exploit that. Its got a topten potential.
Two Options for RCA. Its either they stepup their promo strategies or theydrop all these talented artists.early this month @seangarrett aired his feelings about RCA promo for putitdown and he wasn’t happy. u can thumb me down for saying this but its real. As long as there is no promo, they can shelve the album for all i care. THIS DATE IS TOO SOON AND ITS NOT FARE.

This is recipe for flopping. RCA needs to stop wasting tym for these talented artists, they deserve better. I guess Usher is under the label hence the underwhelming perfomance of the album. #SAD#

Outta the US and not on TV during album release week, for Usher? I mean Kelly Clarkson has a f*cking TV show on every week and performs on all the award shows…WTF??? Kelly Clarkson should be 3 times platinum with all that damn Promo for her album that was released last October (not even platinum in the US)…I hope RCA gets Usher’s promo together, his album is one of the best of 2012…
