“I love it, I love it, I love it when you…”
Hit the right note?
Well if you were expecting the above from ‘Styled To Rock’ star Rihanna you’ll be waiting a long time.
For, on Sunday night the Pop sensation did what she did best at the 2012 Wireless Fest by way of under performing her ever celebrated material.
Material, despite being Pop of the highest quality, is oft unbearable when burdened with Fenty‘s pancake flat singing voice.
Not sure what we mean?
Peep her performance of ‘Birthday Cake’ at the event and let us know what you think of it below…
Possibly exhausted from stalking Karrueche Tran’s Twitter timeline her grueling schedule, performances like these are enough to make one question Ol Riri’s passion for her craft.
We mean, putting the vajayjay patting and tired vocals aside, she looked quite the amateur placed next to dancers who have clearly rehearsed more than she is.
This, driving home the fact that for all her #1 singles, positive PR and Jay Z affiliation, Fenty is one of Pop’s poorer acts- failing to live up to her ever burning hype.
A hype, we hope is strong enough to uphold her Premium Pop status in five or six years from now. A hype, in danger of being dwarfed by the stage return of Beyonce in the coming year and the meteoric rise of her protege, Ms. Rita Ora.
