Lil Kim may have turned ‘insert flattering age here’ today, but it seems she isn’t the only Rap diva with cause to celebrate.
Indeed, in what might put a dampener on her celebrations, today saw her brief acquaintance / long time wig snatcher Nicki Minaj extend her lead as Rap’s reigning chart Queen- landing herself in US Chart history books.
Want to know what she’s done now?
Find out below…
As of this week, her Red One produced ‘Starships‘ has spent a total of 21 consecutive weeks in the US Top Ten.
This now marks the most consecutive weeks a cut has spent in the Top Ten since its arrival in Billboard history, outperforming the ‘Black Eyed Peas’ smash hit ‘I Gotta Feeling‘ which enjoyed a total of 20 weeks in 2009.
Minaj’s phenomenal news lands three days after she faced false accusations in the United Kingdom.
Accusations, which saw her face the blame for pushing a British festival worker into a pool of mud when he allegedly “wouldn’t move out of her way” at T In The Park.
It was later reported that it was the her bodyguard and not the Rapper herself who committed the act.
However, all of this this is yet to be confirmed.
