Congratulations are certainly in order for ‘Modest‘ maestra Misha B.
Ahead of the release of her debut album, she is now the proud owner of a UK Top 20 single, courtesy of rising producer MNEK and her ever growing ‘Aliens‘.
Details below…
Rocketing in to the Official Singles Chart this week, B’s debut single ‘Home Run‘ comes in at #11 making it the highest charting new entry in this week’s tally.
Penned by the singer and the aforementioned MNEK, the cut also came it at #2 on the UK R&B singles chart and #13 on Scotland’s Official Charts company, aided by its Magnat directed video launched June 15th.
Marking an exciting time for the rising starlet, her feat isn’t the only success worth applauding this week.
Indeed, despite its underwhelming US sales figure, Rihanna‘s ‘Talk That Talk’ is showing no signs of slowing down in the UK.
For, 35 weeks after hitting British shelves, it spends this week at #6- rising seven places since last week.
Impressive, as it has sold more copies this week than Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Roman Reloaded‘, despite the latter making its chart debut back in April.
As if that wasn’t enough, the LP’s lead single ‘We Found Love‘ remains in the Top 100 for yet another week. Now enjoying its 42nd week in the tally, it now sits at #57 while her power anthem ‘Where Have You Been’ holds court at #19.
Elsewhere in the country, Beyonce‘s ‘4’ comes in at #19 on the R&B front, now placed four spots below Rihanna‘s ‘Loud’ but 17 places above the model’s ‘Good Girl Gone Bad‘ which sits at #36.
Well done to all!
