Hip Hop Mourns The Death Of Chris Lighty

Earlier today, reports pertaining to the death of Violator Management CEO Chris Lighty began to circulate across the web, and tonight- in what marks truly tragic news- these reports have been confirmed.

Now, personalities from across the world of Hip Hop have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their feelings of loss.

While the details of his passing are yet to be confirmed, Karen Civil reports:

Chris’ passing was from an apparent suicide in his Bronx, NY apartment. It is noted that there was a bullet wound to his head and a gun next to his body.

Law enforcement sources have shared that along with the divorcing from his wife last year, Lighty was also dealing with financial hardships – owing the IRS up to $5MIL. No word if this has been confirmed.
