It’s finally here!
Leona Lewis has lifted the lid on ‘Trouble’, the latest single to be lifted from her long-awaited third studio album ‘Glassheart’.
Penned by Emeli Sande and produced by Naughty Boy, the track follows last September’s ‘Collide’ – which performed well on the Billboard Dance Chart and peaked at #4 on the Official UK Singles Chart.
So, what are you waiting for? Take a listen to the Childish Gambino assisted cut after the jump!
While the chorus teetered on repetitive, it’d be criminal to deny the strength of the cut. Haunting and potently sung, it’s clear that the song showcases exactly where Ms. Lewis fits best musically. Sometimes a knock-back (see: so-so response to ‘Collide’ and subsequent delay of the album) can yield powerful results. Case, point, this gem of track.

This song is MAJOR! Leona Lewis is back to slay!! Childish Gambino’s rap is amazing! It all comes together so damn good. This is going to the top of the charts!
i love the song. just not sure what direction she is going for this upcoming album.
AMAZING TRACK!!!!!
I’ts really miss! Totally don’t like it!
After a long long wait we finally get to hear Trouble and boy was the wait worth it!
As a diehard fan I wasn’t sure WHAT we were going to get, but co-wrote by Emile’ and Leona, well that definitely is asking for Trouble and yeswe got it in abundance…Leonas vocals are spot on ..no over the top notes(we know weknow she can) probably on other songs but this song is different..almost like BL .2
first listens like Wha? as the song finishes and gambino raps I was like ..I LOVE this song…2nd listen 3rd listen likee even more ..leona has a HIT for sure! welcome back LeLe been toooo long x
NO COMMENT! BEST SONG EVER! I LOVE YOU LEONA LEWIS! THIS SONG “TROUBLE” WILL BE THE BEST!
I think this is garbage. call me a hater. Same s*** new day. But if her fans like it then fair dues. If it aint broken don’t fix it
yes. its miss for me.
I don’t like her voice… I don’t like this song.
We’ve been waiting this moment from 1 year so far!
This song SLAY! And the acustic version, I suppose, will be without Gambino! And that is to say that there will be falsetti and high notes, for those who says that song is the same from the starts at the end.
I don’t like the chorus at all, but I like the rest of the song A LOT! It’s one of the best songs of her career so far imo. I wish they had worked on the chorus a little more, because it could REALLY be a next level song if they had. Still, I didn’t expect to like it, but I do!
Now I truly hope her label handles the single and the overall project well, because she deserves success. She’s really talented.
Not feeling her new nose…. scary
Surprisingly I kind of like it. And yes the chorus is the worst part. But good coming from Leona Lewis
You can tell that this song was written by Emeli Sande, honestly, she should have kept this song for herself because it sounds like a rejected b-side or some leftover track from her last album. The chorus of this song is also poorly delivered and almost non-existent as well. I don’t know who is making Leona’s single choices but whoever the person is must not want her to succeed. The song sounds like good album filler at best; certainly not lead single material for a serially delayed project.
I would hate to think that this is supposed to be a reflection of the best material on her album because if this generic, wannabe ballad type of stuff is it then she can keep it. Next.
Emeli wrote the song FOR Leona. Leona sat with her and told her how she was feeling, what happened with her relationship and Emeli wrote it in song form for her.
And how is this generic? lmao Noone else besides Emeli is putting this kind of music out.
I was not expecting to like this as much as i do. i hate when rappers are added but Childish Gambino verse was the icing on top of the cake. i don’t think it’s lead single material tho it’s a good album filter
Amazing!
I actually LOVE this. The rapper is actually amazing on this and it works so well. It doesn’t sound random and unnecessary like most rapper add ons do.
And I think the chrous is the best part. Wish there was a vocal run at the end but I guess she’ll save those for the live performances.
I love it see needs to do more urban sounding stuff like this I like her pop music but urban music suits her like that song she done with (cassidy nowhere left to go) it reminds me of that song what I love so much.
yes yes and yes, she’s back, my hero
I LIKE IT!!! <3
It sounds amazing! The production doesn’t sound fully finish to me though
That’s cause your listening to the radio rip. Wait till the hq iTunes version is released in 6 weeks
SMASH!!!!! This is so different to everything on radio at the moment. Yes UTStarcom sounds like emeli sande bUTStarcomIn reality both singers sound very much alike anyway! It’s a really good fit foe Lewis’s voice. Through childish gambino feature is pure genius. This is why the brits are paving the way when it comes to music… (think Adele, think One Direction… heckling we even supporting rihanna better than than through Americans).
UTStarcom should be “it’s”in the first case and “in” in the second. Stupid predictive text
wow love it at first listen! cant remember when that last happened, prolly when i listened to Frank Ocean’s cd and yes i can totally tell Emeli and Naughty boy made this. it’s almost as good as daddy. i hope it smashes worldwide. The rap was refreshingly cute too much better than what of these so-called rap veterans woulda contributed (usual bling, rims & ho mumbo jumbo)
I was the same way. I fell in love with it from the intro alone. I’m surprised it’s a “grower” for some.
I was highly disappointed with Happy and Collide and for the first time, I actually LOVED this on first listen alone.
OK I’m impressed, much better than garbage Collide. People don’t seem to like the chorus…..but it seems really radio friendly. This is a step in the right direction for her. Now she’s a bit more interesting
Dont forget it Leona Lewis Co-wrote the song with Emeli Sandé.
It’s pretty good but better suited for the writer of the song (Emeli Sande). I feel Leona Lewis as a vocalist has been slacking of late but maybe it’s just the song which didn’t bring out her full potential. Here’s hoping the album will be good though, good luck to her.
Ok this is weak. I just can’t lie i was expecting so much more from her. I like leona so this is really no shade, it’s just that this track does absolutely nothing for me. I feel as though she can do a 1000 times better.
It is a nice song, but I don’t think it is truly single material…
I like the Oong but it does feel like its missing some belts toward the end at least. The Chorus is a little Corny, But I still like the song.
