Though it pains us to say it, ‘Fail’…might be just that.Underwhelming on a lyrical front and lack luster on a production tip, the cut is not worthy of Melanie‘s talent or fresh hype and it is for these reasons we hope it isn’t used as the first single.
For in a bid to serve up something contemporary, Amaro has sacrificed the skill and originality that took her to the top last year.
Better off serving something akin to Alexandra Burke‘s ‘Heartbreak On Hold’ or a mid tempo in the vein of Vanessa Carlton’s ‘A Thousand Miles‘, here’s hoping this isn’t indicative of the rest of the album we can’t wait to get our hands on.
