R&B crooner Trey Songz today unwrapped new promotional single ‘Hail Mary’.
Already previewed in snippet form, the Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy assisted cut featured on the singer’s fifth studio album, the aptly titled ‘Chapter V’ (due August 19th).
With his “lane” at its most competitive (see: Chris Brown, Usher), can Songz serve up something that’ll help him pull ahead of the pack? Find out after the jump…
It seems sliding sales and waning interest aren’t enough to wake Songz from his topical slumber.
For ‘Hail Mary’ and pretty much everything else we’ve heard from this hype-free LP sees Trigga serve up more of the same sex-soaked drivel that has rendered his career officially…”dry”.
Echoing earlier sentiments, Trey’s songs (pardon the pun) aren’t so much offensive as they are pointless. Same lyrics, same beats, same bravado, same…everything. Like, sans any “shade”, what does Trey contribute qualitatively to the music industry? We’re none the wiser. If you know the answer, please enlighten us below….
