If Twitter has proven itself to be nothing else since its popularization, it has celebrity been a celebrity battleground. It is there where many an e-diss have been dished and dodged by many stars including Jennifer Hudson, Brian McKnight, K. Michele, and more.
And, with no two stars finding themselves afront a tweet gone wrong headline more than ‘Birthday Cake’ co-stars Chris Brown & Rihanna, it’s pretty safe to say this trend will continue.
Indeed, while everyone was talking about Ri‘s tell-all sit down with Talk Queen Oprah Winfrey earlier this week, the talk of a certain comedy queen – Joan Rivers – did not earn a soft response from the ‘Hard’ singer today…
Fans are still up in arms about today’s earlier Twitter exchange. Joan initially tweeted:
Rivers, who has career long earned a reputation for her crass, often controversial humor, has found herself at odds with other high profile divas Christina Aguilera, Madonna, and more in the past. Rihanna, on the other hand, was not having it:
Rihanna replied:
And later added:
Rihanna’s talents may not be behind in a microphone, but behind a keyboard she has consistently proven herself to be the queen of comebacks – now adding Rivers name to a long list of stars and outlet she has snapped together.
However, much like former beau Chris Brown, many of the singer’s fans have urged her to remain silent against (unyielding) critics who have oft attacked the singer for her public statements and antics. You, That Grape Juice Faithful, have weighed on Brown’s similar need to defend himself at every attack. However, in the case of Ri – you tell us:
Should Rihanna just keep quiet? Or, at this point, should she continue to (vocally) defend herself?
Your thoughts?
