Though recent years have seen its mainstream popularity decline, Hip Hop remains an all too lucrative affair for its major players.

Indeed, with the likes of Jay Z, Dr. Dre and Nicki Minaj successfully turning their respective causes into a bankable brands, Forbes has listed their Top 15 Hip Hop Cash Kings.

This, listing the culture’s highest earners by totaling revenue generated in the last year.

Especially Ms.Minaj who comes in as the only female on the list and Dre whose recent endeavors will sure to see him enjoy similar placing next year.

The way we see it, despite some of the acts listed claiming the given figures are inaccurate, the tally is a firm reminder that one doesn’t have to score multiple #1 singles or enjoying record breaking sales figure to pull in the pesos… if they’re innovative in their approach.
