Since catching the eye of the public in 2007, Nicki Minaj has found herself enjoying feats we doubt even she could have imagined on that infamous staircase.
So, in case the release of two Platinum albums, a world tour and a judging spot on ‘American Idol‘ wasn’t enough to blow her way, her fans have given her even more of a reason to feel good about her Pop standing this week.

The above, if it isn’t already obvious, comes as epic news as it follows the single’s record for having spent the most consecutive weeks in the US Top Ten, upon its February 4th launch date.
As of July, the single has sold 721,000 copies in the UK and has been certified Platinum five times in Australia, where it peaked at #2.
Hopefully, the success of ‘Ships’ will encourage Minaj to give all of her numbers the promotional push they need to match this recent feat, to ensure singles like ‘Pound The Alarm‘ and ‘Va Va Voom’ reach their full commercial potential a la ‘Super Bass’.
