It makes black people look crazy and aggressive. First of all, most black girls would not be so rude to their dad like than and disrespecting him over a white boy. Look at how they portrayed as a maniac wanting to break the car.

SECONDLY: Why do blacks have to make these interracial videos? Most people are with their own race/. It makes blacks look desperate.

Third: This will not appeal middle america

Fourth : One direction , Justin Bieber etc all have white girls in their videos, so what is the point of this?

The truth always hurts and scares blacks.

She is trying throw blacks under the bus making it seem like they are intolerant. I am half white: whites are the same too. If not worse.

Your thinking to much about the video. Its not that serious at all. Listen to the lyrics and the video makes perfect sense. Its about someone falling in love. This video could have dipicted the same thing with a black couple or a white couple. The girl in the video is in love and her father doesnt approve and she decides to choose love regardless of what her fathers and he is reacting like any overprotected father would when they know they are about to lose their daughter or think there child is jumping into something they may not be ready for.

        Avon,

It os evident that is is about Black / white. If it was about love. They gay couple / scene could of been white actors; the father / daughter could of been africa american actors.

If Norah jones done this video – she would of just hired white actors and told the story without all the taboo about race, which makes whites and blacks ….not very, well you know!

I know what it was about – black women and this whole interracial thing.

I don’t have a problem with Elle Varner, I don’t like her voice, but I think she can sing, and I don’t care for her music, including the lyrics, but at least she makes music with some type of meaning. This video was boring and also kind of stupid. I agree with other people who commented, why did she have a euro type of white boy and a ghetto, black guy fighting, just because she decided to date a white boy? This isn’t 1980 or even 1990 anymore, plus, the majority of black men, at least that I see, celebrity or regular person, are dating white or different raced chicks. What’s the big deal?

That’s what I was trying to point out, and I got thumbed down, cos that just how blacks think. She threw blacks under the bus. And, the hunky euro model, chasing that bald, larger no to pretty black woman – in who’s fantasy ?

Yeah, I live in LA most black men are with latina or white women. Then Redbones like me. It is sad she had to go that route. In no way was it effective as Like a prayer with the KKK and black jesus – and that turned out to be a play.

Huh?? I didn’t think she put blacks under the bus I think she just wanted to show interracial dating because she’s mixed herself and for ppl say this doesn’t happen anymore is flat out lying im black and I was dating a white dude and we was hugging and minding our own business and black men were looking at us especially me like I was crazy and I was going to school in a small town and they’re not use to such diversity as it is in Atlanta or new York god made us different races so we can love and accept each other not because he want he wants us separate and we should be with only our race!!
