New Song: Solange – ‘Sleep In The Park’

Published: Tuesday 2nd Oct 2012 by David

Solange debuted ‘Sleep In The Park’ last night, the stunning B-Side to her new single ‘Losing You’.

Inspired by Prince and boasting some of the singer’s best vocals to date, we’re hoping ‘Park’ receives the single treatment before her LP’s release in the coming months.

you probably don’t even f****** buy music but you guys are always the first to critique. Maybe if she was singing in ebonics you’ll love it cause with a name like “CHIL PLEASE” it will be right up your “block”. i don’t expect anything better.

      • SolangeFever October 3, 2012

Everything is not based on singing! Sometimes its about the melody and the words. to each is his own and its just opinions!

  2. Allegedly Superficial October 2, 2012

SHE DOING HER THANG! She is own lane. Doesn’t Make me feel the way ‘Losing you’ does but its cute.

  5. fanya October 2, 2012

well at least she is independent so she cant technically “flop”. this era is not looking good for her though. the music is just garbage.

    • CHILE PLEASE!! October 2, 2012

Yes somebody that agrees with me….the new generation is easily impressed by f****** garbage….I like power house singers that move me & give me goose bumps! This song did nothing for me! Next!

  6. My hip, my back October 2, 2012

  8. SuxMyCockieness October 2, 2012

Love this also =) Yes! The 80’s was my favorite era for music and fashion, so colorful yet still had dark elements. I am very impressed with Solange this time around and I will definitely be purchasing this new album =D

  9. That B*tch (I can’t with these delusional stans) October 2, 2012

This is okay. Honestly I dont see her coming out of Beyonce’s shadows any time soon but I do respect the fact thas she’s trying to be different from her. One thing I must say is that she’s not consistent with her music at all which is why it will be hard for her to gain a steady fan base.

    • That B*tch (I can’t with these delusional stans) October 2, 2012

Lol @ the amount of dislikes I have. You h*** are acting like you’re going to spend money to buy this LP. This will do just as bad as Nelly Furtado’s latest CD.
Not hatin, just keepin it real.

      • CHILE PLEASE!! October 2, 2012

  11. Millhouse October 2, 2012

    the song is confusing

  12. Kb October 2, 2012

Her voice reminds me of wynter gordon’s in this one. Her looks lately too

  13. DOSSOME October 2, 2012

I hate being negative but i don’t hear anything here inspired by the man i consider the greatest male artist of all time (yes,i think he is a better artist than the other one)….what i hear is Solange trying desperately to sound different from beyonce.hope it works for her but i don’t feel this song,no apologies. *plays diamonds and pearls*

    • FAF October 2, 2012

WHEN HAS SHE NOT BEEN DIFFERENT FROM BEYONCE? HER LAST ALBUM WAS ’60S INSPIRED

    • S****** Blonde October 2, 2012

I know, to me he is the most talented musician ever, better than MJ.

  17. MC October 2, 2012

I don’t really know. Her voice sounds good, but something is not up to my liking. Maybe its the production? I am not really into, but I commend her for trying something new.

  18. pinnk October 2, 2012

i agree to an extent ……..

  21. michael October 2, 2012

I’m glad she finally getting the attention she deserves. She is very under rated. And is one helluva songwriter. Market knowledge came out in an interview is said that she was the artist in the family. I hope her record label give her the marketing/promotion she deserves. And hope for nation management put a lot of time and energy into her career. Like they did rihanna. Forbidden Fruits by Isish Hurts is available on amazon.com

  22. GREG October 3, 2012
