If ever in doubt, know that prayer works.
For, much to the delight of Chris Brown‘s fans, the singer has deleted his Twitter account – of course, amidst a sea of controversy.
Details after the jump…
Ever vocal and a touch naive, the last three years have seen the star fall for clear traps designed to feed journalists with titillating stories about his “bad boy” image. The latest, yesterday, seems to have rocked the 23 year old most though; for just a few hours after his digi-clash with former TV writer Jenny Johnson, Brown (or a smart member of his team) deleted his Twitter page.
This, however, wasn’t before the singer cryptically Tweeted:
“Just ask Rihanna if she mad??????”

As the age old adage goes, “fool me once, you’re a fool. Fool me twice, I’m a fool”. With Chris, we must be in double figures now with this tired narrative of journalists “setting traps” only for him to still jump in like a willing daredevil and expecting a different ultimate outcome.
Hence, while we continue to regard Breezy as one of this generation’s most gifted performers, our sympathy tank has simply run dry. He’s in dire need of PR conditioning – something we hope this latest episode will serve as a catalyst for.
His record sales show that “enough” people have forgiven him in order for him to function as a top-flight act; therefore it’s high time he digests this and understands that such meltdowns only serve to work against his career, not for it.
Maybe after this online-down-time he should “return to Twitter” in the run-up to the release of his new album next year? contrite to popular belief, all publicity isn’t good publicity. However, most publicity is “spin-able” publicity. Hence why not usher in more material with a more mature C. Breezy? We can only pray.
