New Song: J. Cole – ‘Miss America’

Published: Monday 12th Nov 2012 by Sam

It’s here!

‘Miss America’, the lead single from J. Cole’s hotly anticipated sophomore set ‘Born Sinner’, premiered literally moments ago.

An important release for the Roc Nation rapper, it’s the first indication of whether he’ll be able to run with the baton he handed himself with the success of his debut outing ‘Cole World: A Sideline Story’ last year.

So, without further adieu…

This goes hard! As a charting-topping single? We’re not so sure. Yet, as a “wake up, folks, I’m back”? Yes, yes, and yes.

As reported, ‘Born Sinner’ hits stores on January 28th 2013. Meanwhile, ‘Miss America’ hits iTunes today!

Jay needs to stop pumping money into rita ora j cole is were its at he can be so massive but not enough promo i hate to say it but if he was on ycmb he would have been as big as drake

    • king bey November 12, 2012

      This song goes hard

    • Don’t be fooled November 12, 2012

As a fan of J Cole, I think that he doesn’t want to be in peoples faces all the time like the YMCB crew. It seems like he wants to be an artist over a star.

    • flawda November 13, 2012

It;s not Jay-z job to make J Cole massive, as if there is some button that he can magically hit to make J Cole the biggest arttist in the world. It’s J Cole’s job to make the right music and win over the audience.

Yall act like Jay-z ever had the opportunity J Cole ever had, he couldn’t even get a record deal, How do you think J Cole got on tour with Rihanna or get on a remix with Beyonce, that was all Jay-z doing.

Trust me Roc Nation is pulling strings for J Cole behind the scenes. Just because Jay-z ain’t all up in his ass like how Wayne is with Drake, doesn’t mean he isn’t helping.

      • king bey November 13, 2012

Oh plz jay z is pumping so much money into rita ora she gets more promo than any rocnation artist and she has not had a hit in usa wereas j cole had a number 1album and he dont get half as much exposure as rita

      • flawda November 13, 2012

J Cole has said himself he doesn’t want to be too big like how Drake is, because you burn out that way. Why do you think he doesn’t put out much music or features.

Plus why are you even comparing Rita Ora to J Cole, one is a pop star and another is a rapper. You don’t think Interscope would promote Kendrick Lamar the way they promote Lady Gaga do you.

Stop your brainless hating, seems to me you just want a reason to hate on Jay-z. J Cole needs to pay his dues like all great rappers did. Jay-z didn’t really blow up until his third album after he mastered his craft.

        Oh please STOP BEING NAIVE!

Of course there are “magic switches” how the hell do you think the likes of Rita Ora, 1 Direction, Justin Bieber and others “blew up” in the first place. Those with media favor get all the positive and frequent press all day everyday no matter what or haven’t you figured it out by now? 0_o

Oh, and if DRUG DEALING, BEATING ON WOMEN (Foxy brown and Amil Lion) & VIOLENTLY STABBING a record producer he disagreed with isn’t enough to make you “hate on Jayz” then nothing will!

    • mob: operation kill the b*tch now November 13, 2012

EXACTLY!! the only problem is that in this disgusting controlled media and music industry, it is simply easier to promote “a pretty face with a slit” (crude but true) 🙂

      J. Cole has the raw talent to shove many folks out the business and many od heads straight into retirement like GAYZ! Folks are sitting on J. Cole for a reason believe that! I woud love to see him move under Kanye or to another label all together!

    Good job J.Cole!!

      🙂

  8. tomuchenfo November 13, 2012

    Cole World- Nuff said

Comparing him to Drake is the equivalent to comparing Beyonce to Rihanna. With both set, there is one that is extremely talented and gifted and their is another that isn’t.

    • jamilaa November 13, 2012

shut da f*** up! dumb c*** dis has noffin to do with riri nd beyonce! keep it moving! LOVE JCOLE! WOW NICE!

    • mob: operation kill the b*tch now November 13, 2012

Oh okay, as long as you understand that J. cole is the talented one! 🙂

  9. JOHN boy November 13, 2012

    Keep it moving punk ass…

  10. MISHKA November 13, 2012

Kanye West famously said something like he always wanted to rap about serious issues like religion, social crisis and so on, but that people would not listen to that on a shitti beat.

That’s exactly why Nas is where he is and J. Cole is soon going to join him there. Only hot beats turn rap songs into hits. If the beat doesn’t go hard in the car, in the gym or in the club, then it’s a FLOP.

J.Cole needs to team up with Timbaland or something, he can become THAT guy but he DEFINITELY needs someone to take care of that. Jay-Z should have taught him that, that’s the #1 reason he still on top in the game.

People just need dope beats to step to.

    • mob: operation kill the b*tch now November 13, 2012

I agree with you! But let’s be honest, J Cole has got some fire with him. I think Beyonce’s pet camel might be a little scared of J Cole. Had he been under another, he would have had better promotion and more support for his project. This cat should have been a worldwide Rap sensation but no, instead we get the pilsbury dough boy “CUPCAKE Drake”! As it stands, J. Cole seem like an Indie artist to me!

  11. NYC November 13, 2012

    Love this guy

  12. Um OK November 13, 2012

    J Cole is great! I’m a fan.

  13. mob: operation kill the b*tch now November 13, 2012

Wait, we’re not going to get the DEVIL, SATANIC, ILLUMINATI symbol conspiracy conversation popin’? LOL 🙂

Anywho, I love me some J Cole! GAY-Z is a b*tch for sleeping on this young talent!

And I agree, if he was on the “buy my artists music in droves label”, they probably wouldn’t have to spend so much of their own cash to give off the illunsion of success! LOL, I’m just saying……..Get’em J Cole 🙂

  14. Zsa zsa couture November 13, 2012

J Cole bores me as a rapper, now Kendrick Lamar…. I love that guy!

  15. F*** Swag I’m Dope November 13, 2012

It goes hard and I’m glad. Rappers have become too soft in this day and age. We need some ‘street’ brought back to hip hop.

  16. ADC143 November 13, 2012

Eh. It’s not a good sign when your label schedules your album release in January. That’s the most inactive month of the year sales-wise.

  17. Sociallyconscious November 13, 2012

Some of you people are oxymorons. J. Cole don’t give no damn about album sales, he says it in his interviews. He makes music to speak for the people like us who doesn’t have a platform like his to speak on. So what you telling me some of you need good promotion to listen to him? Then on the flip talk about how someone is overexposed or sold out. GTFO of here! He don’t need to get on anyone’s beats. Dude is straight up old school. He makes his beats to showcase his lyrics. Not drown it out like most rappers do. Some of yall need to get lifted and listen to the words that he is spitting.

And people need to shut up about this Illuminati business. Yall speak of things you know nothing of. No black person will ever be in the Illuminati. Ever.

  18. Rev the Cool Nerd November 14, 2012

J.Cole snapped on this one. I love the production, but I wish rappers would start making songs w/ a few less profanities. I like hearing the whole song on the radio, not just bits and pieces because the vocabulary isn’t as expansive. Too many “b*tches”, “h*es”, and “n*ggas” in his rhymes. Oh well…one can only hope.

all i no is that jay z is making j cole put that devil s*** in his song and its making him loose fans nobody likes to hear about the devil

    • SOCIALLYCONSCIOUS November 16, 2012

Jay-Z does what? So J. Cole talk about having two sides to him and simple minded folks like you can’t handle him talking about it?

Listen to the lyrics. Yall paranoid, bible thumping, Illuminati folks feeding into the lies that whiteness feeds the masses about rappers to hold POC back. They feed them lies to our people and it’s sad to see too many folks drinking that white tea.

    • SOCIALLYCONSCIOUS December 15, 2012

Jay-Z making J. Cole do what? He has never made him put anything out he didn’t want out. Please take your paranoia elsewhere. Since when does discussing have two sides, one bad and one good, speaking about the devil?

The white man don’t want people supporting black artists. And sadly all you paranoid black folks buy right into it. You telling me no black person can be famous without being in the illuminati or had sold his soul to the devil? GTFO.

The things i would do to J.Cole if I ever got him alone!
