For Southern Rapper T.I., heading to jail 2009 saw his commercial value suffer a number of unforeseeable dips… a shadow of the numbers that saw 2006’s ‘King‘ debut with sales of 522,000 units.
However, after rebranding himself as the ultimate family man, it seems his cause is on the up- well, that is if first day sales predictions for his new LP are anything to go by.
Details below…
Upon the release of ‘Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head’, the ever accurate Hits Daily Double predict he will shift between 150,000 to 175,000 units without the benefit of a Hot 100 smash.
Of course, while these figures are a little ‘slim’ when compared to digits pushed by Drake, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z and Lil Wayne, they do give an indication of the consumer’s renewed interest in the Rapper, whose last album is still yet to hit the 1 million mark two years after release.
His impressive first week debut will come days after he appeared on the hit radio show, ‘The Breakfast Club’ to push the ‘Atlantic’ release.
