With global sales of over 24 million units, Adele‘s ’21’ is undoubtedly- by both stats and perception- the biggest album of the 21st century.
Now, two years after its February 2011 arrival, the ‘Cold Shoulder’ singer has hinted at the arrival of its follow up and tour she hopes to launch in aid of it.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the 2013 Golden Globes, she explained:
“I was meant to be doing it (tour) but then my throat happened, so I couldn’t do it and then I got knocked up so then I couldn’t do it. I’m not sure when but when a new record comes- when I write a new record- then absolutely, yeah I can’t wait.”
The first news of a new release since her James Bond ‘Skyfall’ outing, a new album from the star would mark her third with Columbia Records and Richard Russell‘s ‘XL Recordings’, who welcomed profits of £41 million by way of the Paul Epworth assisted LP.
