Beyonce To Headline ESSENCE Festival 2013

We’ve said it many a time, but Beyonce is clearly playing no games with her comeback.

Having already headlined the Super Bowl, announced a sell-out world tour, and nabbed her 17th Grammy Award, the 31 year old has today been confirmed as the headliner for the 19th annual ESSENCE Festival.

The July 4th-7th event will see the megastar return to the New Orleans Super Dome (the site of her Super Bowl showing) for what is being billed as a must-see extravaganza.

Speaking of their major coup, Essence Communications President, Michelle Ebanks said in a statement:

Almost daily here at That Grape Juice we stress the importance of performers really appreciating and honing their craft. Beyonce serves as a great example of “why”.

For, without announcing anything pertaining to new material, the singer has created mass hysteria about her return to the stage. That, friends, is a testament to building one’s stock up as a live performer and embedding ample power in one’s name. New Orleans, are you ready to be entertained?!
