Inspired by the success of Beyonce’s recent HBO special ‘Life Is But A Dream’, Rihanna has announced that she will be premiering a documentary of her own this May.
Full story below…
A concert-themed docu-special, the hour-long show will chronicle the star’s ‘777’ promotional jaunt for latest album ‘Unapologetic’. The global trek took place over seven nights last November and saw the 25-year-old play shows in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York.
According to USA Today, the doc, which will air on FOX on May 6th at 8pm, will be an all-access look at the controversial mini-tour; showing everything from champagne parties aboard the plane and off it, as well as the backstage chaos which saw many of the trek’s accompanying journalists slam the aspiring singer for lateness, rubbish performances, and rarely engaging with them.
No word on whether it’ll feature footage from her vocal sessions. Now that’d be must-see TV.
