She may have ticked off half of the Popverse by way of comments shared last night, but that didn’t stop Keyshia Cole from winning the hearts of Jimmy Kimmel‘s audience last night.
For, as to push sales of her new album ‘Woman To Woman‘, she took to the hit show to perform her latest single ‘Trust & Believe’, silencing any who doubted her worth as a live entertainer…and more importantly, as a skilled vocalist.
Watch her soar below!
So here’s the thing.
While she’s currently public enemy #1 in the eyes of many a Beyonce fan, the fact of the matter is that when it comes down to what matters…Keyshia always delivers.
Indeed, though there’s no denying her reputation is now a little burned as far as ‘Urban Twitter’ goes, the crossover appeal of her new material and her restrained performance style will go some way to cementing her presence in the wider media. This, evident in the slow burning but consistent sales of ‘Woman To Woman‘.
An album that has already outsold every LP to be released by an R&B female artist last year less than six months after release.
Does all this excuse her attack on Michelle Williams and Beyonce‘s ‘Bow Down’? Well no. However, if the above performance and her R&B sales stats are anything to go by, it’ll be long time before Ms.Cole’s Twitter rants damage her cause outside of the internet.
